While introducing the band during “The Electric Co.,” Bono thanks Larry for pinning a note on the bulletin board at Mt. Temple Comprehensive School in Dublin — a note that led to U2’s first meeting in Larry’s kitchen 39 years ago today. Bono references the 39-year anniversary a couple times later in the show, too.

As usually happens, a fan comes on stage during “Mysterious Ways.” But rather than a lucky young lady, this time it’s a guy who’s dressed in full MacPhisto regalia.
