It was the last concert of the 360° Tour. It was a show that I had been waiting for a while. I had been intermittently traveling to see U2 since the summer of 2009, starting at the opener in Barcelona, and it was nice to bring some closure to the tour. There was a large reunion with my U2 friends and it was great fun to be with them throughout those last few days in New Brunswick. The morning of the queue was full-on ran, the likes I haven’t seen since Dublin 1 during Vertigo. But the weather during the concert was beautiful. Carney and Arcade Fire were great opening acts, particularly the latter. The U2 show was epic. The many references to the Middle East and of the end of the tour struck a deep chord within me. Songs like Stay (Faraway, So Close!), Moment of Surrender, and 40 were outstanding. It was a bittersweet end to the tour, to say goodbye to my U2 friends and to the tour, but we know that it won’t be long before we meet up again on the road.
