Second New York show. Once again, did not make it into the damn ellipse due to the lottery system (0-4). Chris and I made sure this did not ruin our experience. That evening was one of the best shows we had seen. Bono spots a fan talking on a cell phone. He takes the phone and yells at the fan, but later apologizes for the outburst. Speaking of phones, Bono calls Gavin Friday during the show and gets the whole crowd to sing ‘Happy Birthday’ before hanging up. Mary J. Blige joins the band to sing One!
