Location: Tree-stage, Front Rail, Edge Side
This was the last show in Europe for The Joshua Tree. It was pretty neat to see the band in full sun light at the start of the show. It reminded me of when I saw U2 during the Elevation Tour when the house light were on at the beginning of the show, or during some concerts in northern Europe when I had seen U2 during the Vertigo and 360° tours. They had to rely on their own energy and the music to get the crowd going, and I can tell you the audience was really up for it! I had a blast with the fans around me, notably Dave (who I met in the GA last tour in London). Dave is in U2 cover band and plays the Edge. He was able to explain the little things that give Edge away, by that I mean all the little technical aspects of Edge’s performance, which made me appreciate the guitar master more than ever.
