September 3, 2017 – Detroit

Location: Main Stage, Front Row Rail, Adam Side

My 10th and last show of The Joshua Tree Tour. Due to Ford Field’s generous camera lens policy, I was finally able to use my amazing Zeiss 85mm f1.8 lens to take U2 concert photos. I rarely had to crop my photos, and the pictures you see here are at full resolution, and turned out well considering these were shot at the front main stage.

It was my first time in Detroit and I have to say that I enjoyed my visit and the concert. While I was disappointed that U2 did not play a new song on the start of the third leg of the tour, I was able to hear a sneak peak of ‘You’re the Best Thing About Me’ during their rehearsals, which was a real treat. It was great to see a few familiar GA faces carry over from Europe and I look forward to seeing them again for the eXPERIENCE+iNNOCENCE Tour!
